The St. Francis Parent Center provides FREE parenting, family
intervention and low-cost violence prevention services to Ocean
County families through supportive services that focus on
enhancing family functioning.
Other Services
Children in the Middle
A support group for divorced/divorcing parents and their children. Separate groups for parents and children.
Parenting and Stress Management
Group and Workshops, addressing family management concerns, are provided to LBI families at various sites on Long Beach Island.
Parenting in Recovery
Groups focus on supporting families with substance abuse histories.
Parents explore the effects of substance abuse on themselves and their families while learning effective parenting skills that strengthen family relationships.
Parenting Workshops and Groups
This program is interactive, and is designed to meet the specific needs of participating parents. Films and group discussions encompass multiple aspects of
child development. This program is provided at sites throughout Ocean County.
Violence Prevention
Services are funded through grants from the NJ Department of Human Services,
the NJ Dept. of Children & Families and the L.B.I. Municipal Alliance.
Workshops
Provided on request for your school, church or community group.
They focus on stress management, conflict resolution or anger management.
Anger Management Program
This low-coast program provides 12 week cycles of stress and anger management groups throughout Ocean County. This interactive program focuses on increasing participants' conflict resolution skills, enhancing communication skills and reducing stress.

Human Concerns & the Food Pantry
The Human Concerns Program is a community support program serving clients living in southern Ocean Co. The program assists clients with utility and food issues through grants from EFSP, MOC Foodbank, American Recovery & Reinvestment Act and private donations. The program also distributes food and household items to families in need.
Donations are received from collections at St. Francis Parish, local food drives and private donors. Donations of food may also be dropped-off at St. Francis Community Center during normal working hours.

The Food Pantry is in need of Hot Dogs, Canned Hams, Cereal, Soup, Rice, Jelly, Juice (large cans), Canned Meats, Macaroni-n-cheese, Canned Tuna Fish, Instant Potatoes, Laundry Detergent, Bars of Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Paper Towels
and Toilet Paper.
Annual Projects Include: Back-To-School, Thanksgiving & Christmas

A Tax-Deductible Donation
Auto Ownership of Ocean County
Used, rehabilitated cars are offered to TANF* recipients for whom transportation is a major barrier to employment. Cars are donated, repaired and turned over to clients
involved in a working or training activity of the Ocean County TANF program.
Clients may also receive insurance assistance, driving lessons and help with car repairs.
